Subang Jaya is a suburban city strategically located between Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam. It is located within the Klang Valley area in Selangor. Putra Heights, USJ and SS12 to SS19 are all part of Subang Jaya. Development of the city was done by Sime UEP, who is one of the biggest property developers in the country. Development of Subang Jaya, formerly a oil palm plantation began in the mid 70s. It was originally a part of Petaling Jaya but Subang Jaya has since developed into a city and has its own municipality. Development of SS12 to SS19 lasted from the mid 70s until the late 80s. Development of UEP Subang Jaya, which has the address USJ 1 onwards, began in the late 80s. The developer has won many properties related awards for its development of USJ and Putra Heights over the years. Today, there are all kind of properties in Subang Jaya such apartments, condominiums, terrace houses, semi detached houses, bungalows, office lots, shop houses and SOHO units. Subang Jaya is considered a prime area; as such property prices in the city have been increasing over the years.

There are various shopping centres in Subang Jaya to cater to your shopping needs such as Empire Subang, Subang Parade and The Summit, USJ. Both Subang Parade and The Summit USJ have cinema halls within the shopping centre while The Summit USJ also has a bowling alley. There are many hypermarkets in the city such as Giant, Carrefour and Mydin. The major business centres in the city are the Taipan commercial centre in USJ10 and in SS15.

Subang Jaya is also a major tertiary education hub in Malaysia with the existence of several well-known colleges and university colleges in the city such as Taylor’s University College, Inti University College, SEGI University College and Metropolitan College. There are also many primary and secondary schools throughout the city including international and private schools.

Owing to its strategic location, Subang Jaya is easily accessible via major highways to nearby towns or cities such as Puchong, Shah Alam, Bandar Sunway and Petaling Jaya. Public transportation is also easily available in Subang Jaya. The city is served by several bus companies and has its own KTM commuter station as well. At the time of writing, an LRT line is also being built in the city. The LRT line is an extension from the Kelana LRT station which will run through the city all the way till Putra Heights.

Although there are much land left for new property projects in Subang Jaya, especially landed properties and housing projects, there will always be properties for sale or rent in the city due to many reasons such as moving to different locations or upgrading to bigger houses and so on.
